With well over 100 submissions received for The BIG Picture contest by Mission Stream, winners were announced last Friday during Big Art in the City.

This community wide contest was developed by Steven Jones at Mission Stream. Steven has been involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters Ottawa (BBBSO) for several years beginning with our Big Apprenticeship contest and on our Big Art committee this year. He developed The BIG Picture contest to continue supporting BBBSO and provide an opportunity for more widespread participation.

Graham Parr was the Overall Winner with his photo of a pair of red running shoes. Graham received an incredible 100^th anniversary package from Henry's, valued at $600, which included a Limited Edition Canon SD 1200 camera kit, tripod, digital pocket photo album, umbrella, jacket, t-shirt and cap. Graham's photo was auctioned off by Lawrence Greenspon during the event for $245.

Leslie Mwakio was the Little Winner for his photo of a fountain. Leslie received an HP laptop donated from Best Buy.

Congratulations to all our winners! And a BIG thank you to all who participated. Mission Stream has also produced 2010 calendars with the photo submissions which can be purchased for $20.00 through the BBBSO office by calling 613.247.4776.

The winning photos will be displayed at Henry's (Hunt Club and Merivale) and will be  available for purchase.
