Farewell to a staff member and blogger: Sue WilsonPosted by Jennifer Mitchell in Fundraising, Employment, BIGNews, BBBSO |
|
We wish Sue Wilson, Director of Annual Giving and Marketing, good luck in her newest endeavour as she leaves Big Brothers Big Sisters Ottawa (BBBSO) to join the Fund Development team at United Way/Centraide Ottawa.
In Sue’s 4.5 years with BBBSO, she has made a BIG impact! Our Big Art event has grown enormously, expanding to include: a silent auction, new, upcoming and talented artists and, some live jazz music to entertain our guests. Last year, the Big Art event brought in $127,000. Sue also created the Big Apprenticeship which is now in it’s third season. This event, the first of it’s kind, has been adopted by other Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies across Canada and this season should prove to be the BIGgest yet! Watch for more upcoming information on these events.
With this farewell to Sue as a fellow blogger, also come introductions to two new bloggers.
Cindy Smith, Senior Director of Resource Development joined BBBSO about a month ago. Cindy will be taking the lead on our two fundraising events, Big Apprenticeship Season 3 and Big Art. Cindy will be blogging about these events as well as keeping you up to date on our fundraising initiatives and successes.
Robert Eves, Executive Director, is also joining our team of bloggers. Rob will keep you updated on agency successes and news related to mentoring.
