While we take a lot of pride in this, it’s mostly about the little things and fun times shared between Bigs and Littles. When you speak to a staff member or a volunteer, you will often hear the words Big and Little. Our Bigs and Littles are our BIGgest asset. We have over 1000 volunteers a year that commit their time and energy in many different ways to support our vision that all children in Ottawa will have a mentor. The Littles are the reason that we foster, facilitate and support volunteer based mentoring programs for children in need. (Voir Grand, Grande) Synonymes: écolier, étudiant, jeune Vous allez souvent entendre que Grands Frères Grandes Sœurs d’Ottawa est l’agence de mentorat la plus importante. Bien que nous en tirions une très grande fierté, les piliers de ce succès sont les moments et les petits plaisirs que partagent nos Grands et nos Petits. Lorsque vous parlez à nos employés ou à nos bénévoles ils vont régulièrement utiliser les mots Petit et Grand. Il ne peut en être autrement car nos Grands et nos Petits sont non seulement nos plus GRANDS atouts mais également les assises de notre réussite. Nous avons présentement plus de 1000 bénévoles qui donnent généreusement de leur temps et de leur énergie afin que nous puissions continuer à regarder de l’avant et continuer à croire en notre vision: Que tous les enfants d’Ottawa aient un mentor. En fait, nos Petits sont la raison pour laquelle nous continuons de favoriser, faciliter et soutenir des programmes de mentorat axés sur le bénévolat pour les enfants en difficulté. |
